We're going to take a look at 13 supermarkets and grocery stores stretching from Harrisonburg to Charlottesville to Roanoke over the next two weeks. Here's an idea of what we're about to see...
We'll start up in Harrisonburg, then work our way south, ending in Roanoke on March 15th. We'll be seeing three main types of stores here: small grocery stores in rural areas, larger stores in suburban areas, and smaller and more modern markets in urban areas. A quick note about this group: unlike our Hudson County or Bay Ridge/Sunset Park groups, this is by no means an exhaustive study of all grocery stores in these areas. It's just a survey of a few locations that I happened to see while in the area.
