I took a lot more photos of the neighborhood when I was up here in the Bronx than in previous groups, so expect a lot more Streetside Sights & Scenes. Today's shot is what I saw as I was approaching the Stop & Shop we're going to see tomorrow.
Welcome to Kingsbridge! The main business district of Kingsbridge is on Broadway, pictured here, between about 230th St and 238th St. (The blocks are much farther apart than they are in other parts of New York City, so that's actually a longer distance than you might think, about 0.67 miles.)
And few scenes represent the Bronx more than a good old elevated subway! They are quite noisy, and they come every few minutes. But it makes sense to run the key subway lines along the major roads, too.
