Snapshot: Stop & Shop - Eastchester, NY

Today's snapshot is just up the street from yesterday's Country Markets. This Stop & Shop, at 24,000 square feet, is far smaller than most in the chain but is about 8,000 square feet larger than the Country Markets. As many readers with sharp eyes will be able to tell, this store was previously a Grand Union and has not been significantly altered outside since before Stop & Shop took over in 2001. It looks like a perfectly nice store but once I confirmed (while standing in the rain in the parking lot) that there was no Grand Union decor intact inside, I felt no reason to go in. The store is located at 420 White Plains Road, Eastchester, NY.
