Returning to the 25,000 square foot Farmers Market by Food Bazaar that we first saw back in 2017. While I took an exterior photo and stopped inside the store, I didn't get any interior pictures for whatever reason. So, I went back to photograph the interior in May 2019.
The main feature of the store, and what takes up the most space, is the produce department in the center of the store. Like any other Food Bazaar's produce department, it's beautiful. The left-side wall features a few very short grocery aisles and frozen, with seafood in the back corner and meat/deli on the back wall. Dairy lines the right side wall.
While this has the same decor package as Manhattan Ave, a key difference is that the ceiling here is white. It has not been painted.
Very cool decor elements over the produce department, with sketch-style pictures on the wood panels.
I wonder if the sign panel to the right here was installed after the rest of the decor. It doesn't seem to match as well as the one on the left does.
The usual enormous seafood department in the back corner. The ceiling in this part could, in fact, use a repaint.
Clearly, the focus is on perishables here, as they take up the vast majority of the sales floor. It's the same types of offerings as a typical Food Bazaar, just slightly abbreviated.
Deli and baked goods, which may be brought in from the other Bridgeport location, are in the back right corner of the store.
Dairy and beer at the right side of the store. As you see, all of the fixtures are kept very low meaning that you still have sightlines across the entire store.
Front-end with what looks to be an early prototype of the front end design that's now standard in new Food Bazaars. That wraps up our tour here, but we still have three more brand-new stores to see here in Bridgeport. Stay tuned!
