Some signs of life are starting to appear at the Roselle SuperFresh, which remains closed after storm damage in September 2019. While the store isn't exactly ready to reopen, there is some slight progress.

No change really on the outside, although again there is an indication that the store will in fact be reopening: you'll see a number of yellow signs around the building directing people to a mailbox in the back which was not there last time.

One thing we also skipped last time: a look inside the deli-bakery room. As we'll see, a lot of the fixtures have been removed.

There's also signs of construction, such as the ceiling having been removed. While it may mean that there's more extensive renovation being done on the store, which will be a nice change, it also means that the store is farther away from reopening.

Another interesting thing -- notice that the decor has actually been removed here. How extensive do we think these renovations are going to be? I haven't seen the department signage from here appearing in other Food World stores, so maybe it's just temporary.

As we see, there's clearly been work done inside since we last visited. Most of the fixtures except for some of the cases around the perimeter have been removed -- I assume a lot of the fixtures could not be salvaged. We also notice that the area with the collapsed roof (which, judging by the daylight visible here, is still not fixed) has been closed off with a tarp.

A look across to the back doors, over what used to be the produce department. Surprisingly, the registers remain to the right on the side wall of the store. And as we can tell, there's been a lot of junk removed from this area.

As we see, there's a lot more work that'll have to be done before the store can reopen, but it looks like we're moving in that direction. I sure hope we are, at least.

A quick look at the back wall of the store, but there's not much to see here. Notice, though, that the banner here with the Food World website is actually new -- last time we had a Hello Summer Big Sale banner left from when the store was open.

I'll be back soon enough, and I'm hoping that it'll be open before we know it! The store is still listed as "opening soon" on the Key Food website. Don't forget to see what else we have today here!
