Terrible photos for this store, but we're gonna go with it. This building, which is roughly 27,000 square feet, was built in the 1970s as an A&P -- possibly as a replacement for the store at 132 or 123 S Easton Rd. In 1982, it became an O&O (Owner & Operator, I believe) store run by former A&P employees, which then became a Drug Emporium in the 90s. Around 2005, it was divided in half for ALDI and Family Dollar; when ALDI closed (and I can't find any evidence that it relocated elsewhere), MOM's moved in a few years later. Thanks as usual to JoshAustin610 for the history.Previous Tenants: A&P > O&O > Drug Emporium > ALDI
Location: 925 Easton Rd, Roslyn, PA

JoshAustin refers to this location as Glenside, MOM's calls it Abington, and Google Maps calls it Roslyn, so it's definitely one of those. Municipalities are a little harder here in PA than in NJ because you have large incorporated townships (such as Cheltenham or Abington), and within them, you have unincorporated communities (such as Wyncote or Glenside), and the exact borders of those communities are not always clear. But we're done with Glenside and Roslyn (which also has a GIANT just to the north), and moving to the east for two stops over in Jenkintown. Come back tomorrow to check out the first!
The 'replacement' for this Aldi is the currently operating Aldi in Willow Grove (out of a former Linens & Things building), a little over 2 miles away. Mom's hasn't been open all that terribly long, there was a large period of vacancy once Aldi moved.
