Another quick look at the Roselle SuperFresh, as work is ongoing but not that exciting (yet, at least). The necessary structural work seems to have been completed, and the fixtures that were removed from the store have been removed from the property. All the garbage outside in the back has also been removed.
Above we can see where the tarps had been, closing off the back of the store, along with the newly-rebuilt back area. The fixture right in front of us is the seafood case, on which the roof had fallen.
The windows have gotten dirtier over time, and nobody's cleaning them right now, so interior pictures are getting progressively more difficult.
The store at this point basically needs a good deep cleaning, a paint job, and fixtures, and it'll be all ready. As far as I can tell, all the actual structural work has been completed.
Here we can see various fixtures that are likely trying to be salvaged, plus some that clearly can't be (like that shelf in the front).
The deli-bakery room has also been mostly stripped, but that's not really a new development.
And because I was here Thanksgiving day, there wasn't exactly a lot of work going on at the time, but there was definitely evidence of ongoing construction, although not too much. If all goes well, the store definitely does look on-track to reopen in the spring. That's all for Roselle, check out today's other posts
