Before we head into Harrisburg, we have a few updates and special reports! You can see the full list at the bottom of this post, but we're going to begin with a quick revisit to the Newark SuperFresh. This store opened around a year ago when a former
CTown was sold to a Key Food owner. The store was
renovated while being kept open, and it looks like the store's remodel is coming to an end. The outside has been painted but not too extensively changed, with just a fresh coat of blue and white paint around the outside looking good with the SuperFresh logo.
The store would probably benefit from a more extensive exterior remodel, but it's looking pretty good for now. Inside, the store is looking fresh and clean, and some new signage has been added. Because of the low ceiling, there's not a lot of room for decor, but if you compare this to my 2019 shot of the CTown's produce department, you'll see how drastic of an improvement it is.
The one thing that makes me think the remodel may not be done yet is that the aisle markers -- which on my first visit to the SuperFresh were still left over from CTown -- were removed but not replaced (yet). I assume there will be new, probably SuperFresh-branded, aisle markers coming in soon. That's all for now, but the rest of today's posts include:
