Memorabilia Day 8: Publix & Weis!

Publix and Weis, two significant regional chains on the east coast in Florida and Pennsylvania, respectively, don't appear too much in the memorabilia I find, but we have a few!

Publix

Here's some Publix trucks! While I don't know the exact date of either of these, the below one is definitely newer.

Weis

And speaking of trucks, here's a 1970s-era toy truck from Weis! I love the font and the cloud logo here. I bought this one at an antique store in central PA, not far from Weis's home of Sunbury.
And one more spice tin, this time from a classic Weis package! Tomorrow we're wrapping up our memorabilia feature with a look at, well, everything else we haven't seen yet.

  1. Looks like the top Publix truck is newer (not the lower one), and the lower one says 1950 on the box ;)

    Just to be helpful... :)

    1. I think in fact it's a replica, saying that the truck is in the style of a 1950 Publix truck. Looks like it was actually made in 1993: https://www.ebay.com/itm/186041724156

    2. That makes sense - physically newer but made to look like one that is older :)
