I think this is going to be our last visit to the ShopRite of Millburn for a while! The 32,000 square foot store was originally home to a Staff-Good Deal supermarket, acquired by ShopRite operator Village Super Market in 1976. It didn't get much updating after that, but in 2023, a pretty significant renovation started on the aging store. We last saw it in October at the tail end of its remodel, but it's now done and looking great! Except for the outside, of course, which I wish had gotten some love in the renovation. (That picture, by the way, is from July 2023; the rest are from Saturday afternoon.)

The deli is nicely redone with a sushi counter added; packaged prepared foods and baked goods line the front wall under the On The Go signage.

Obviously, this store is nothing like Village's newest location in Old Bridge, which is absolutely outstanding, but it's nice to see some serious renovation going into this store, not just some new paint on the walls.

Flooring and fixtures throughout look great.

The store is small for ShopRite, but has a much more open and airy feel than it used to, thanks to good bright lighting, wider aisles at the front and back, and lower fixtures in the grand aisle.

I am a big fan of the dairy decor...

...especially The Milk Store. If you've read this blog for a long time, you already know this about me.

And the "helping families live better" in the last aisle isn't nearly as beautiful as Old Bridge, but still looking good!

Nice to see how they've adapted this decor package to a slightly simpler version, while keeping it exciting and not looking cheap.

The front-end is much more spacious and open-feeling than it used to be, especially thanks to the fact that the grocery aisles were shortened during the renovation. I haven't done a lot of shopping here, so I don't know if there was a significant reduction in selection -- but from spot-checks, it doesn't look like it at all.

I'm glad that the Millburn ShopRite has finally gotten the TLC that it needed, and it looks great these days! Don't miss the other stops for today, and you can see the full list here.
