Tesoros Supermarket
Opened: before 2008The Framingham train station is right in the middle of the city's downtown, and several blocks of commercial businesses radiate out from it. The big-box retail is to the north on route 9 in northern Framingham and Natick, but the downtown has all kinds of small businesses in the storefronts. A block over from the train station is Tesoros Supermarket, a small but complete supermarket of just 5000 square feet. I first stopped by the store way back in 2019, and took the picture below, but in 2022 I returned and took the interior photos. You might notice that in the 2019 picture below, the storefront said Tesoro Supermarket, and in the 2022 photo above, it said Tesoros Supermarket.
Inside, the store is extremely compact but has everything you might need. Produce and frozen foods are on the left side, with a butcher counter at the back of the first aisle. Meats line the back wall, with dairy on the right side in the last aisle.
Clearly, many of the fixtures are on the older side, but the store looks great with a nice new floor and great maintenance. I don't know exactly how long a supermarket has been here -- but as far back as Google Street Views go, Tesoros has been here (which is at least since 2008).
The butcher counter is clearly a big draw here.
The grocery aisles are perfectly stocked with all the basics and Latin American and Portuguese foods, and some storebrand items from Krasdale.
Dairy is in the last aisle on the right side.
And as we might expect to find here, there are a lot of imported Latin American and Portuguese cheeses, too!

This is a very nice little store that I've enjoyed stopping by a few times when I'm in the area. Tomorrow we're headed just east for a look at another store specializing in Portuguese and Brazilian products!
