They've refined the format, they say, and have redesigned the stores to be more appealing. I have pretty consistently disliked Amazon Fresh in the past -- but I gotta say, this is by far the best store of theirs I've visited. And if they're moving in this direction, I won't be disappointed. The roughly 60,000 square foot store (one of the larger Amazon Fresh locations) opened on Thursday morning and I visited on Friday morning. Stop & Shop Opened: 2020 Previous Tenants:  Fairway Market (2013-2019) Location:  101 Market St E, Nanuet, NY Photographed:  August 12, 2022 Welcome to the current Stop & Shop in Nanuet! The store moved from a former Grand Union across the street in 2020, following the 2019 closure of Fairway in this space. We can take a look inside Fairway right before its opening thanks to an extensive photo gallery from Patch. The 66,000 square foot store became a Stop & Shop, and it's one of the nicest Stop & Shops in this area -- maybe even overall. That said, there's a lot left from Fairway, and that's part of the reason it's very nice. We enter to a large, spacious produce department, with bakery, deli, and prepared foods behind that. Meat and seafood are on the back wall, with frozen/dairy on the right side and pharmacy -- something Fairway wouldn't have had -- in the front right corner.
