Special Report: Whole Foods Market - Lenox Hill, Manhattan, NY

Whole Foods Market / Daily Shop Opened: September 18, 2024 Owner:  Amazon Previous Tenants:  The Food Emporium Cooperative:  none Location:  1175 3rd Ave, Lenox Hill, Manhattan, NY Photographed:  September 25, 2024 We're here to check out the very first small-format Whole Foods Daily Shop location, which has taken around 9000 square feet of a former Food Emporium on the Upper East Side. Whole Foods has used the Daily Shop branding previously, but those stores have all been closed or rebranded. (A full-sized Whole Foods at Bryant Park, for instance, has a small grab-and-go type storefront on the first floor, but it's not branded Daily Shop.) Look Inside: D'Agostino - Lenox Hill South, Manhattan, NY

Today we have a look inside at one of the two Lenox Hill D'Agostinos, as we've seen the Lenox Hill North location here . Our pictures of this store come to The Market Report courtesy of contributor Laura E.! It looks like this store is pretty newly renovated, and it looks great. Here's what older D'Agostinos look like. Kind of hard to determine a layout from these pictures, but it's looking like most of the store's floor space is taken up by the perishable departments, with maybe five aisles. Looks like dairy is on the back wall, with frozen in the last aisle. And a nicely updated front end! This store is located at 966 1st Ave, and you can see the exterior here . Photographed July 2019

Coming Soon!

Our next group of stores will take us the next week or so and will have us returning to Manhattan! I should note that we've already seen many stores in Manhattan, and the other thing that people who are familiar with New York City will notice: my "southern Manhattan" is more accurately the southern half, i.e. everything south of Harlem. We'll more specifically be covering stores in the Financial District, Chelsea , Lenox Hill , and the Upper West Side. We start tomorrow on The Independent Edition !
